Reopening Statement

After abstaining from in-person services for three months, Bible Baptist Church will return to in-person services. This is a principled stand for our First Amendment rights, and more importantly, our Biblical mandate to gather with other Christians in worship and fellowship according to Hebrews 10:24-25. Therefore, effective June 14, 2020, we will resume our 10:15 worship service as we had before the order. We will follow social distancing recommendations and safety precautions which are listed below.

Statement of Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk Related to Coronavirus/Covid-19

COVID-19 is highly contagious and is known to spread mainly from person-to- person contact. By attending Bible Baptist Church, you agree to abide by the procedures established by the church to protect attendees and staff, and you voluntarily assume the risk that you and/or your family may be exposed to or infected by COVID-19 either at the church, in the church worship service or in the Nursery or Sunday School. You agree to assume all the risks of attendance and participation for you and your family, and you waive any liability against the church and other parties.

The following safety precautions will be observed initially and will be gradually relaxed. These precautions will be observed for an undetermined period of time.

We will only meet in person for the Sunday morning worship service at 10:15. We will not have Sunday School or Kidmin, nor will we have nursery service.

Doors will be propped open ensuring that no one touches any of the doors. The west entrance doors will be locked with a sign which instructs people to use the main entrance.

We will take the temperature of everyone who enters the building with a no touch infrared thermometer. No one will be allowed to enter who has a temperature greater than 100.

A table with hand sanitizer will be positioned at the main entrance as you walk through the doors. You will be asked to use hand sanitizer and to read the Statement of Waiver of Liability and Assumption of Risk Related to Coronavirus/COVID-19 before entering the sanctuary.

Ushers will seat people from front to back. You will need to sit next to your immediate family members. Three chairs will be spaced between you and someone who is not your family member. The chairs are going to be spaced exactly 6 feet apart (row to row). This will mean that people will be spaced 6 feet apart without having to skip a row.

Please wear appropriate face coverings if able. A covering is available if you do not have one.

Please abstain from handshaking and hugs.

The offering plates will not be passed. They will be placed on the sound board and visual booth cabinets as well as the main entrance information desk.

Our cleaning service will be utilized for the services. Please only use the main entrance bathrooms. As you enter the bathroom, someone from our cleaning service will give you a magnet. The magnet is to be placed on the stall door as you enter the stall. Upon leaving the bathroom, the cleaning service will enter immediately and quickly clean the used stall and sink area. While cleaning, a sign will be placed on the door stating that the bathroom is being cleaned. The cleaning will be done very quickly.

Please refrain from speaking to the media, and refer any media to Pastor Smith.
